Some of the Medium articles that lead with 'money earned' in the title put a little skeptical spin on me. I am glad I pushed through my spin and read yours. I am happy for you and your daughter. I have always wanted to write, and I have struggled academically and with words... It took ten years just for the undergrad! :) That's not a complaint... I loved school and I would continue to be a student if I could afford it...

As a writer, and I own that I am that, I have found multiple avenues to share my thoughts, written a few books available for free, but it's because of Medium- that there was hope of finding my niche. I write more from a sense of joy of writing, and if there is a return, that is nice. I have been fortunate- not just for the little extra, but for the comments- and for continued inspiration- like this. I am not chasing- I am living. Wasn't that what we were all encouraged to do from our start- follow the heart?
