Alien Conspiracies Are Us

“The only thing separating conspiracy from truth is time,” the WF. So many reptilians!

Let’s start this story off where the Why Files closes; there was a time, not too long ago, the asteroid theory behind the dinosaur extinction was laughable. Then, in the 1990s, scientists found evidence of a crater; it became an accepted, mainstream explanation that holds till today. Still a theory, with good evidence for it. The radioactive isotope, Xenon-129, is found in the Martian atmosphere. The only known process to get this would be nuclear fission, found after detonating nuclear weapons. Mars and war are synonymous, not a theory. The Vedas and Upanishads are considered myths, not a theory. Do ancient myths and conspiracy theories reveal a reality so frightening we have to dismiss it?

I suppose what interests me is that there is no shortage of reptilians in ancient myths. There is no shortage of reptilians in modern myths. They have populated science fiction and tv kids shows as far back as I can take it, with the slow moving Sleestaks from Land of the Lost to Star Trek’s slow moving Gorn.
