Alien Miners with Jet-packs, Again

News Nation is joining the push that police are saying this is illegal gold miners scaring villagers…

Actually, alien gold miners: the illegal miners came from Brazil and Columbia, so still aliens! Of course, we should all be skeptical. I am skeptical of this. Again, the jet-pack story just raises more questions. “The attacks were likely an effort to keep villagers away from mining pits.” They’re attacking at night, when the villagers are at home, winding down, not approaching their mines? Do you imagine most villagers know to stay away from ‘the mines?’ And still, I have more questions…

Jet-packs are cool. I have always wanted one. How do you get them? The image I included on the last jet-pack skeptical essay linked an article suggesting the suit in the image was new. That means military grade. The uniforms would have had to be military grade to withstand villagers shooting at them. Where did miners get the tech? Where did they get the training?

And if the goal of the miners was to scare the villagers away from the mines, didn’t they just attract the whole world to their illegal gold mine!
