Alien Type: Transmorphic Entities

The concept of non-corporal entities goes back to humanity’s beginning. Ghosts are not goblins, but every religion known has tapped into these beings that invisibly observe us, sometimes even touch us.

There are things that go bump in the night. Everybody knows this. Perhaps kids know it best and the adults who tell us it is nothing convince so well that we stop hearing those things. You can convince a person of anything if you persistently tell them a thing. Hypnosis is evidence of that. Placebos are evidence of that. Some of my favorite Art Bell shows were the Ghost to Ghost episodes, where callers shared their personal stories. Ghosts can be sorted and defined. Angels, archetypes, apparitions, demons, Djinn, and now, Transmorphic Entities, creatures of pure mind energy. What are we dealing with?

How many cultures do you know that hold a superstition of not naming an entity for fear of drawing its attention? Do you hold any such superstitions? Allow that word not to be disparaging, but just a placeholder for a philosophical discussion. Would you avoid a Ouija Board for fear of inviting unwanted attachments?
