Experiments in Consciousness

Are Celebrities More Vulnerable to Paranormal Experiences

For a thought experiment, assume that conscious, focused attention affects reality. Maybe something as simple as sending a prayer of health and well being to another allows for change. Does the recipient feel or get better as the number of people praying go up? Do thoughts of harm have unintended affects on people at a distance? Hypothetically, if there is something to this, something measurable, one might expect that celebrities would have more experiences of the paranormal than ‘normal’ populations- just due to the sheer number of people giving them attention on a regular, consistent basis.

Maybe looking for anomalous activities is as easy as interviewing stars.

Sex with ghosts

Yeah. Who hasn’t? I mean, who wouldn’t want a ghost experience? Most people assume sex ends when life ends, but why would we give up wanting the very thing we spent most our lives thinking about, if not trying to have?

There are a few celebrities who have discussed having sex with ghosts. Kesha is one. What if it’s not ghosts? I am certainly not trying to invalidate her experience, but imagine how many folks out there have likely entertained the idea of being romantic partner with Kesha. People do these things. I know, gross, you don’t want to think about it. If a million people around the world were in sync with that activity, would the subject being focused on get a surge of unexpected sexual energy? Is libido just a biochemical threshold, or is a collection of thoughts, or the recognition of sexual energy in the air so to speak?

It’s not just about sex. And clearly, ghost rape would be as unwanted as real rape. And if we humans have this much power at our disposal, so much power that just thinking about sex has unintended consequences, then there would be a spiritual reason for being more disciplined with how we eject our energy.

You don’t have to raise your hand or own this energy. Just think for a moment, is there a particular celebrity you’ve subtly influenced?

If this thought experiment has any validity, it might be reason enough not be a celebrity. I mean, you can’t get mad at a bunch of teenagers doing what…
