The Afterlife
In a JeffMara podcast, Marissa Goldberg describes her Near Death Experience, and like most, goes on to report how her life changed. One of the interesting artifacts I found in her narrative relates to language. She can speak and read Hebrew. Hebrew can be much more straight forward in meaning than English. There are concepts that just can’t be translated into English. Did you know the word positive, pos-si-tive, in Hebrew means ‘there is good here?’ Did you know Raphael means the ‘God who heals?’ ‘El’ translates to God.
My first thought was her thought parallels an artifact from Michael Newton’s Work, Journey of Souls. It was an artifact I didn’t understand- but it’s there to explore. More often than not, he did not ask the council for their names, but rather he asked what they represented. Maybe he initially asked for names, but got, “I am her strength.” Or, “I represent her patience.” The council seemed to represent attributes that a subject was learning. More than that, there are several artifacts that suggest the council are actually aspects of the very soul being examined, which resonated with my Jungian knowledge on archetypes.
