Calling All UFOs and Heroes

We are afforded many opportunities in life, but there are only two calls we all must answer. Have you heard an SOS anyone?

My father served in the Navy for 22 years. He was on the USS Kearsarge for a moment. He shook the hands of an astronaut, specifically Gordon Cooper. He was in the capsule, Faith 7, when it plunged into the sea and Kearsarge was there to recover him. My father was on the USS Saratoga for a while, and his last tour was on the USS Enterprise. It feels insufficient to say I am proud of my father. It feels insufficient to say that I have been a proud American, that I love my people, and I want the best for them and the world we live in. I feel like I should be doing something. Helping somehow. What are we supposed to do?

My father has shared a couple UFO stories with me. He was interested, though not as obsessed as I. My father was a hero. He served. Are all people who serve heroes? Well, even though I know there are some villains who served, and perhaps some folks that fear got the best of them, some folks who failed, some folks who disappointed, some that got lost, were forgotten…

If you are serving in any of the Forces, Army, Air, Navy, Space… God Bless you. I have no clue what it’s like having to follow…
