I know you don’t care about us, your audience. You probably won’t even read this. It probably won’t even be a blip on you monthly meeting. But, when you are feeding us the BS narrative, can’t you be a little more subtle when you diss your fan base, and not flip them off when you tell your audience to F*#$# themselves?
You and I go way back
Seriously, I grew up watching Disney in the seventies. I loved Disney. I remember my grandparents taking me to Disney World. Some of the first movies I introduced my son to were Disney films. His first movie in the theatre was Mary Poppins Returns. It was unrememberable. We didn’t carry one tune out of the theatre. The first time I saw Mary Poppins, way back when, I could sing half the songs. Clever songs are not always memorable songs.
My son and I love singing. We love lots of different kinds of music. He and I were singing lots of Disney music. Oh, how many musicals I know and suddenly just no longer have the heart to sing. I feel so much sadness because of the hate you have sent my way. He is not boycotting you, but we’re also not revisiting our favorite Disney songs. We are moving onto artist that actually care about their audience. Don’t worry, Pharrell Williams is one of our go to artists. He has offered us happiness without a roof. It’s so nice not being boxed in.
