What if those physicists who have suggested the entire universe exist on a series of branes, 'membranes,' 2 dimensional, and it is only units of consciousness that translate the 2D information into a internal, holographic 3d environment, but is not genuinely 3D? that would mean the whole universe is flat. It sounds like you're angry. They're just people sorting stuff. People can sort stuff wrong, and definitely not stupid... seriously, did you watch that video, or is it you really don't want to try and understand how others think?
