Except for the fact, we do need trees, and not just random trees in front of homes, but forest with a variety of trees. We underestimate how essential trees are in how they regulate air quality.
In addition to that, planting trees that offer food and seeds allows other life forms to have food, and they, too, are part of this cycle. Every state highway should have trees. Considerate community orchards, free pecans or whatever grows in your area. Ever city that can grow trees, should be growing trees. Cement collects heat. Trees disperse heat.
I am not saying don't improve the ocean, too. But saying it's not enough don't do anything, is less than doing something. Everyone benefits from forests.
