I am not an expert in physics or biology. There is no reason to listen to me further. I do consider myself a scientist. Not great, but well rounded in science, well read in science, and I hold a masters in counseling- with much of my focus in the social science. Social science somehow plays a part of this subject. I follow certain headlines, like UFOs, which are now UAPs, and yesterday’s big thing- Life on Venus. The reaction from society in general, or lack thereof interests me.
I am excited about the prospects of life on Venus. At the same time, I think it’s a distraction. How many times have we, and in this case we means the US, made plans to go back to the moon only to have the next President or Congress kill the plan? Same with Mars. We’ve alternated between the moon and Mars over the last 50 years and gotten nowhere. The last push for the moon was schedule for this year, 2020, but it was canceled, and is now pushed out again to some obscure date. We hoped to join with Russia. Russia has decided to join forces with China to return to the moon. Which makes sense, when you consider when China decides to do something- they do it. The US mentality is that if this is worthwhile, let the private sector do it. Talk about investing in fickleness. I love Musk’s push for space- love it, but he credibility went down when he put Ferrari in space. So many things he could have put in space, and that was his best…
