Failing to be the Ideal Father

Writing this is likely one of the most difficult things I am struggling with as man. I am wrought with emotions. I have trouble thinking though the math problem that this is, and I am finding myself either blocked from solutions- or simply unable to discover alternative answers outside the box or my ability to do math. It is likely true that I am not thinking badly, but I am simply facing a hard fact of reality that many people, especially men, are facing daily. Men are all too often estranged from their kids, their roles minimized, not because they are bad, but because of modern life, a growing anti-male social sentiment, and economic restraints.

Saying there is an anti-male social sentiment in the US, maybe even in the Western society is not hyperbole. Do you know how many shelters for battered women exist in America? At least one in every city? How many for battered men? One in the entire US?

Homeless in LA

We, as a nation, have lots of issues that need contending with. I am not homeless. I am not battered. In the heat of any disagreement that even hinted at escalating towards aggression, you would have found me sleeping in my truck at some remote location. That happened once in my last marriage.
