UFOs over Naples
January 1st, 2022, Matt Krauss and his wife see lights in the sky, witnessing from Naples. A blog entry by Stacker, also found below, has a really nice history of UFO sightings, statistics, and sources. Interestingly, Washington Dc had the fewest sightings. I suppose they’re really going to have to get their numbers up if they want that White House lawn landing.
In the Krauss sighting, Air Traffic Control was contacted, they denied anything on radar. That’s not unusual, and not necessarily an indictment or disparagement. Saying ‘they denied’ is normal phrasing, not indicative of misinformation. So, for example, in a mental health assessment, if you were asked ‘are you depressed?’ and the answer is no, the written record would read, ‘client denied depressed moods.’
Then again, ATC has a record for denying, only for evidence to show up later. The Stephenville incident in Texas, here, military denied having aircraft in the area, and ATC didn’t corroborate… However, when MUFON acquired data from ATC…
