Ghost Stories

I am a fan of strange things. I am even a fan of Stranger Things. ‘Paranormal’ is one way of framing the strange. ‘Trans-personal’ is an alternative way of classifying a particular set of human experiences which on the surface seems like it’s not the norm. If you find yourself with a transpersonal therapist, though- you will likely soon be convinced that peculiarities are not only possible- it’s a human right of passage that anyone can experience.

I encourage out of the box thinking. I also like practicing what I preach. In one particular venture, I decided to create a tulpa. Loxy Isadora Bliss is a tulpa. She is a ghost that’s not a ghost. She is as real to me as anyone I know in ‘real life.’ I no longer like the term ‘real life.’ What does that even mean? What does normal mean? Have you ever considered that the DSM V defines mental illness- that which is abnormal- but that they don’t provide a definition for normal?

Normal. I have had persistent, passive suicidal thoughts since the age of 6 years old. This is normal, in context of my family of origin. The brain will always find an answer to any question poised to it, and in the absence of answer- it will go dark. My mother attempted suicide when I was seven. I have known family and friends who have completed. I attempted in 2006. I am in a career where I interact with people who have had thoughts, are presently having thoughts, who have attempted, many more than once, and who have lost others to sucide.
