Godzilla, Plus or Minus 1
I will have to apologize to my son, as I recently told him Godzilla was not a dinosaur but was a monster. I made a distinction; dinosaurs were just normal animals that lived a long time ago. Godzilla, on the other hand, was a monster, perhaps a reptile affected by radiation during World War II, but definitely not a T-Rex. This movie, Minus One, called it a dinosaur-like creature. It is definitely a creature that has endured the test of time, and this movie has the potential of resurrecting monster movies in general. What is Godzilla? The answer may surprise you.
Let’s get this out of the way. There will be some spoilers ahead. I will mark that section well, but going forwards your eyes may see things you don’t want. Be forewarned.
Also, I want to say this. I am super grateful to everyone who made Godzilla Minus One happen. Thank you. I am very fond of Japanese culture and art. I hope you continue to do what you do, undeterred by any detractors.
