Hello, Rogers. Does all caps mean you're angry? I hope not. Your thoughts are welcomed here.
Yeah, there have been quite a few hoaxes. I acknowledge that- maybe not in this essay, but in others. I am not sure it's 99 percent, but hypothetically, lets say 99 percent is misidentification and or hoaxes, that still leaves 1 percent. Shall we give that 1 percent to David Fravor, retired Navy Captain and top gun who engaged a UFO in a military jet? 4 officers saw it with eyes on. It was tracked on the most sophisticated radar tech, which was calibrated and working at 100 percent efficiency. Maybe most images are not. My son and I found and artifact navigating the streets in google maps. I am confident it's just lens flare, but it's still a curious artifact that draw attention and imagination. There are lots of artifacts that not hoaxes and are curious.
Science is real, and there has been hoaxes, fake science, and snake oil salesmen still exist, but I don't quit science because some people have twisted data to profit- emotionally or financially. I can still organize data from clearly fake, possibly fake, to what the heck?... And so, perhaps not well spoken, in writing this essay I think I am calling for people to watch the sky, collect more evidence, and kind of be more aware of environment and artifacts. Most people take pictures. most people aren't creating hoaxes. the number of photos taken and the number of eyes on images, maybe we can find something wonderful?
As to your second point, I whole heartedly agree. Well, I suspect, with high confidence, like 99 percent confidence, any alien species looking down on us would wonder what our mental dysfunction is- we war each other, we destroy the environment that made it possible for us- we certainly are not demonstrating any sort of consistent ethical philosophy in regards of the use of tech, and we don't seem to really change our world paradigms to reflect our understanding of the world.
We, as a species, are not kind to people or animals. Well, some of us aren't. I do suspect, high confidence, 80 percent?, that most people, you, me, many reading this, we're more likely to consider the well being of animals and plants and try to minimize our footprint on the earth...
Thank you, Roger.
