AI and Aliens
AI has been increasingly useful for humans in exploring their inner and outer worlds. They have been used to detect surface features, and tease out specific signals within background noises. They have helped us explore our thoughts, and discover physical and mental health issues. It was determined that AI could scan the moon and identify artificial artifacts, such as items left behind by NASA at the Apollo landing sites. Could they help us find aliens? What about ghosts?
Before we get to ghost, the idea of AI helping us find artifacts of intelligence has been around for a moment. There are two articles I found speaking on it, linked below. One of them had the interesting premise of AI detecting alien intelligence that might be beyond human ability to see. There have been scientific discussions of the possibility of an invisible biome, life that operates outside of the typical channels of visible light. If we include the possibility of extradimensional life forms, such as the sphere visiting Flatland, one could easily see how human mind may fail to perceive such an entity, but possible for an AI to experience it, and in turn help humans experience it virtually or by proxy.
