Christmas Time
Star Trek and Christmas go together for me like peanut butter and chocolate. It probably something to do with all the lights on the console and the festive uniform colors. And the Trek ornaments. One might say, Roddenberry was an atheist and Trek didn’t celebrate Christmas. I would suggest reviewing original episode Dagger of the Mind, in which Doctor Helen Noel plants a romantic memory in Kirk’s mind during a Christmas party. Granted, her task was to give something Kirk wouldn’t believe. As a psychiatrist, she seriously didn’t understand Kirk. Maybe if he had a romantic interlude with Spock… No, seriously, does anyone understand Kirk?
So, this is Christmas. And it just would not be Christmas without some treasured music. Like this:
Ahh. The magic welded by people with more skill and time than I have. I am not sure how some things pass copy right laws- but this is damn good, and I am glad. Maybe Trek is now so old, and Christmas songs are so old, that it can parodied? Who ever did this, they know their Trek!
