How to Save the Earth

Plant a trillion trees. That simple. Not a billion, but a trillion. It will stabilize 0xygen. It will reduce carbon, cooling off the planet. And, if you’re familiar with my writing and my push for every home owner planting fruit or seed/nut bearing trees, we could reduce world hunger. A trillion fruit bearing trees, that’s the ticket.

Of course, I am probably not the only person saying plant more trees. I just heard Richard Martini channeling someone from the Flipside, or the afterlife say “Plant a trillion trees.”

So, why not? Because of the source of the information? Can anyone tell me why planting a trillion trees would be wrong?

Planting trees

Did you ever read the Giving Tree? How much can one tree give? All the places that harvest trees, they say they replant to continue to the business of harvesting trees, and yet… Did they plant more trees than they harvested knowing that there is a future season when there are more people and therefore more demand? Why don’t we just go nuts and plant lots and lots of trees? Would it be okay to be fanatical about one thing? Planting trees seems like a better investment than paying for nuclear weapons and war upgrades.

And can we stop cutting down Christmas trees? I find it bizarre that we celebrate…
