I am not sure you're saying what I think you're saying. You're not arguing for non-local conscious experiences. You seem to be saying the brain body connection can be extended with tech, which I am in agreement with. There are some interest tech that add 'sense' information, like navigating with a belt that gives stimuli like heat, or vibrations to indicate compass headings- and great evidence brain will quickly latch on to new sense and feel loss if it's removed.

You quoted Gazzaniga. I wonder if you read is book 'Who's in Charge.' There was some more interesting anecdotes about split brain folks. It's a good read.
