I don't disagree with anything you said. i don't see a solution set that doesn't end in violence, and or military becoming the police force. That's being called for even now. And when National Guard fails, we'll have foreign countries under the UN coming in. With the exception of Ghandi, has there ever been a person to help a peaceful transition to a new state? I do see a change coming, but I don't think humanity has hit rock bottom yet. Things might get a lot worse before we actually hold those presently in authority accountable for policies and ideologies that are contributing not only to the fall of the state, but quite likely the fall of the modern world.
I want peace, health, and a commitment to keeping the planet pristine. I want a path that leads away from thermonuclear war. I would hope equity is a necessary component to achieving the above. We may need to redefine prosperity. In the advancement of machine intelligence, most humans will be unemployable. The financial measure of a human's productivity was never a good measure of a man (human.) To be free means to be independent of institutions that would tax you or otherwise inhibit a natural discourse with people and environment. It is not industry or technology that defines humans, but a nuanced sophistication of kindly interactions. Anyone can be scary and or barbaric. Anyone can be duplicitous. Few have learned to be openly vulnerable and still strong, because under surveillance our weakness were used as leverage for silence, or for corralling. All humans fail, but failure is defined by the context of the game. If the game is Monopoly, there can be only one winner. Bezos wins. Let's play a new game...
Do we have a game we can all win?
