I don't know, Bob. In gaming terms, Non-Player-Characters, or NPS, are people played by the computer. Are some people this? Do only a few have souls? I am more a fan of the Native American philosophy, everything and everyone has a soul.
I don't suppose you have to believe in what others see. It does make it easier when others see the same thing. Can we say validity goes up as the number of witnesses go up? What was it, 10,000 plus people that saw Fatima? And not just on one day. Can we say something happened, even if it wasn't what was reported?
What if the Universe was so wondrously made that we all see what we need to see? It's interactive. Maybe for a few, bold souls that chose to create, not just allow their personalities to manifest- but to actively make themselves someone- or go further- make other 'persons' inside of them, or in stories and myths... We become the creator of worlds?
Part of what you said here resonates with Robert Monroe, who reported in his out of body experiences that there are pocket realities that are 'consensus' realities, made because someone created them and people participated in that. If consciousness is a shared experience, as Jung suggested to a degree most people likely don't appreciate, then you and I have fortified new worlds through the Safe Haven series. Others have been invitied.
Maybe that movie is right. If you build it, they will come.
