I have seen a couple of the outtakes of the Fridman/Nolan interview, and in the process of watching the full episode. 1:42minutes, I am slow, but paying attention. It makes me wonder, and I have no evidence for this, but did Loeb voluntarily step down, or was he asked to leave because he broke ranks and said, we need to consider aliens. Cause you're right, Nolan isn't saying there is aliens. He's been pretty clear, 'I don't believe this is the case... I am listening to stories and thinking about it...' not verbatim, but close enough a skeptic shouldn't be calling him out. Loeb was much more bold in his statements.
If Loeb stepped down and that didn't make that front page news, I would say that simply adds credibility to Loeb's integrity. Maybe it's right to sometimes blow things up when we're censored, but maybe there is time to stop blowing things up and just quietly, ethically push for change. Nolan seems to be doing that.
My favorite interview with Fridman is with Top Gun pilot David Fravor. That was like a three hour conversation. It is an incredibly grounding video. Fravor is intelligent, down to Earth, ethical, and, well- he is the epitome of what I know about Navy Officers. My father was 22 years Navy, not an officer, but he had integrity and patience and loyalty that you can clearly see in Fravor. And maybe that biases me towards liking Fravor unduly, as I see my dad in him. Same glasses even! I have watched this interview a half a dozen times from beginning to end...
The thing is, you hear Fravor's account of the Tictac... There is no other way to interpret his encounter. That was alien, or whatever alien means. You hear Fridman's questions, and Fravor's quick responses, calling BS where it's BS, and then hear his explanation as to why... Seriously, how is anyone still skeptical?
