I laughed when you mentioned Jung, because was just thinking about interjecting him even before he came into line of sight.

I am not faulting you for not wanting to read the news. It provokes things in us. I have done well avoiding it as much as I have since 9/11, even turning off radios. It is has taken over my youtube feeds, and seriously if they would give me greater control over content- then the powers that be could be absolved of the need to police content. I would likely turn off 95 percent of the world news.

that said, I am always fascinated by Jung and shadow work, and very interested in his Red Book. The prescription for shadow work is very clear, run towards the darkness, because the light is on the other side.

How much of this darkness provokes us because we, me, struggle with an inner darkness? Can tone produce a harmonic if there was no structure there for energy to cling to?

want the world safer, calmer, peaceful, and I suspect those gear for war take us in the wrong direction. ignoring is likely not much better. Standing firm, praying, interjecting love, forgiveness, light- this is actually the much harder path. we get tired and muddy in this war of emotions and thoughts.

we persevere through conversation such as this, what you give. I promote love, but what does that mean? I think it means forgive more, understand and empathize to the degree you can. And in the absence of understanding, letting go and trusting there is a higher perspective and power that's got this and the future is secure in ways we haven't imagine is still true.

you are loved, Rip. Be at peace.
