I like the 10 what if it's aliens. I think that summarizes some good candidates. I definitely agree, if it's aliens and they wanted us dead, well, we'd be dead.

The opening, maybe it's ball lightening or an atmospheric phenomena, well, that doesn't sit with me very well. It doesn't fit the narrative of the pilots that chased the tictac. But, let's say I give you that it is an atmospheric thing. That would be a very good reason for scientist and academia to get in gear and study this, because some of the military pilots around the world are armed with nuclear weapons. You probably don't want those folks shooting at weather. Just saying.
