I love the split brain studies. I have Gazzaniga on my book shelf! :) But interestingly, it's not split brains, but there are folks with brain injuries and malformed brain, but not apparently loss of function- Dr Lorber's patient? About a math genius in college?

What I especially found interesting is that if the right brain was asked to do something, and the left brain was asked 'why did you do that' something, the left brain always confabulated an answer. It never said, "I don't know." (Gazziniga, 'Who's in Charge')

How fun. What I would like to know can plurality, DID previously known as multiple personality disorder, somehow relate to specialized brain regions, or a multiplicity of brain structure, or is personality not a function of consciousness, but it's the filter the brain uses to flavor consciousness.
