I suspect that's true. I've thought of that a lot. If we come up with AI, that entity will so quickly outstrip human intellectual capabilities that this will be the same thing you describe with aliens.

And, so, how does one relate with superior entities that would essentially know everything, like reading mind level superiority. Would we find ourselves, much like today, in a perceptual void, only interacting with those on par with are capabilities? i like cats, and dogs, but i don't if i would want to try and hold an intellectual friendship with one. That relation would be closer to parent child, just keeping pet safe... But if I could, would I form a relationship for conversational, evolutionary advancement in consciousness? Can i assume cats and dogs also have a bifurcated consciousness, conscious and unconscious mind?

If humans had greater access to unconscious mind, would we be different? AI or aliens may see into this heart of hearts and know who we are, where we are still guessing about others. would fear go away when you know who a person is?
