I would be interested in you interviewing Ignatius. It baffles me... Is there an inherent fear of the topic, of the stigma of addressing the topic- or is it something deeper- like, maybe Ignatius doesn't get it- because most people just don't get it?

The closest paralel I can think of was when President Clinton did his alien life talk, after speculative evidence that the Mars Rock may have signs of life from outside of earth. Maybe you remember it. It was huge. It was impromptu, on the lawn... And the first, and only question, was about politics as usual... The the President got in the helicopter and went away...

Do you suppose the CIA was there and the conversation went something like, "Told you, Bill. The public and the press just won't have this conversation. You could fly ships over the city and parade aliens down the street, and people will just walk on by..."

Maybe it's not them, the government. Maybe it's us? Wouldn't it be ironic if the War of the World thing was actually real alien incursion, but we just remember the radio fiasco story... because aliens? Get real!
