If I can weigh in here with you and Ken... even though there is warning on cigarette labels, and everyone knows it's bad... Can't a fellow still be surprised by an embolism? Maybe George Burns is an anomaly. My father, 22 years Navy, started smoking in the navy, smoke three packs a day till COPD was so bad they wouldn't let him smoke around the oxygen machine... You can turn the wheel on the box and still be surprised by the jack... and don't some people need the spiritual crisis to get serious about change? I would say he was lucky. By the time my dad understood in a tangible way, that was when it was too late. I think most people go that path.
