In Short, Use It or Loose It

Even the most challenging contrarian will likely accept the following premise. If you maintain your present activity level, you will likely maintain your present fitness level. If you want to add muscles, or stamina, you increase your activity level. If you want muscles to atrophy, sit on the couch for six months, like we all did during COVID. If you do no physical activity, you loose muscle strength. Avoidance of all stress could result in lower tolerance for any stress. Watching television can result in your brain atrophying.
