Is Jediism Real?

Though as of 2017, England and Wales refuses to recognize Jediism as a religion, does that mean some states do?

Star Wars, episode 4, introduced the ways of the Force in 1977. The Empire Strikes Back would flesh it out a great deal more, introducing Yoda, a Jedi Master who would instruct Luke, the last of the Jedi. In a recent Podcast, Dr. Diana Walsh Pasulka, a professor of Technology and Religion, and host defined what it means to be a religion and briefly discussed Jediism as being a real philosophy that people have adopted as the tenets of their faith. If religion or spirituality was limited to philosophy, what would distinguish any belief system from another? If there is something fundamental and practical, does that take it out of the realms of belief into reality?

The brain can not distinguish between real and fiction, both influence body and mind. I have heard of folks putting Jediism on their national Census as their formal religion.
