It sounds like your family was supportive of the endeavor. I doubt I could take 17 days off of work, much less endeavor without some kind of support without peeking. The snowblindness- seeing movies almost seems like a version of this.

I wonder if there is a way to get results with intermittent light deprivation. I might be able to do small doses.
