It always amazes me how the folks most interested in the masses developing sensitivities always tend to create new, disparaging slang. People leaving the job markets are being labeled “the Quits.” Never mind that if you could afford to go to a Tony Robins lecture and get all fired up, quitting a job and pursuing your own life would be called following your bliss, a Joseph Campbell phraseology. We’re all for people being woke and spiritual, until it starts hurting someone else’s bottom line.

The Atlantic op-ed piece actually does the mass exodus from the market justice. It captures the optimism in the leaving, as well recognizing the departure from norm is much more complicated than the market analysis by either the left or right have yet figured out.
