Life is Just One Big Karate Lesson

You can learn vicariously from movies. I frequently give movie homework as pathways into exploring the inner psyche. The Universe frequently gives me my own homework. In fact, I was just thinking I need to brush up on my own coping skills, and sure enough the Universe responded with a slab leak. So, here I am, practicing mental push ups, while practicing karate- show me, mop the floor. No, no. Mop, the floor. “Where the hell is all this water coming from…” No, no, just mop the floor. Oh, and you could turn off the water to the house.

Yes, my house was blown away! No, not really. That’s just a geyser. Fixing things are not fun, but those things- they’re just things, right? I didn’t get mad at the ex-wife when she wrecked the truck, sheering the wheel off the axel. It’s just a truck. I asked, are you alright? We fixed the problem. When the ex-wife put diesel in the truck, and someone came up to her and said, “sorry to bother you mam, I don’t think that truck takes diesel…” I didn’t get mad. It’s just a truck. We fixed the problem.

You not was causes the most anxiety in this who mess? Insurance companies. I can have four people come out and tell me their solutions. Two guys want to dig a trench. Two guys want to go through the foundation. I have four prices for the work. I want to get insurance involved, and…
