Life, Therapy for the Soul

From an experiential paradigm, could the fears and perceived chaos of the world simply be a lesson? If ‘tough love’ is necessary for growth, should we allow the world to just hit rock bottom? I am not a fan of ‘tough love’ or even ‘pull yourself up by your own bootstraps’ philosophies, even while at the same time I recognize if you fall off the horse, you just get back on the horse. I don’t know what I have to learn from the present darkness, but many a sage has suggested it is a reflection of something in me. Carl Jung said go to the darkness of the soul, because the light is on the other side.

If the world were a sandbox for the development of souls, would it be okay if children messed up the sandbox? I mean, adults could clean up the sandbox and make it useable again, right? Are there some soul kids here not playing nice and throwing sand and kicking through someone’s castles? Yeah. Soul would be ideal parents, right? We agree helicopter parenting 24/7 doesn’t allow child to gain experience? I am not saying there is never a time for helicoptering. There is a time for intervention.

If a soul on earth gets an intervention, allow that it was necessary. If you’re not experiencing an intervention, you got this. Play on. There is no right or wrong answer, no shame. What worked? What didn’t work? Did you help someone with their…
