Life With Bipolar
This essay will not be the speculative ramblings of a person experiencing mania, typically associated with Bipolar. I could argue this has been a life time undertaking, coming to the position that I might expound on this condition in sufficiently thoughtful ways that you may relate to it. Maybe you’re diagnosed with Bipolar. Maybe someone in your family, or your friends, carries this. It is my hope you find this helpful.
I will begin with acknowledging a vulnerability in the way I am choosing to advance this narrative. Sharing some of the anecdotes is meant to be helpful, not a disparagement against any agents that I have perceived as negatively impacting me or my family. It is only a way of sharing a perspective, mine. It is my personal philosophy to interject love and compassion to the degree that we can into everything in our lives. I find it easier to engage in that philosophy when I can understand a thing to the degree that I am capable.
Also, all too often, people revealing a vulnerability results in negative consequences. Taking the stigma out of mental health would be ideal. One way to do that is to share.
