Spirit life
Maintaining Life’s Joy
Perhaps it’s neither in the pursuit or the finding, but in the awareness that we travel through a realm of contrast, day and night, rain and shine, and rainbows of abstractions.
There is an ABC to this joy thing I offer you today. Between Abstract and Concrete there is a between point of being that we learn to balance. There is no one recipe for balance because we all have different strengths and weaknesses. Today’s essay is sponsored by my guide, Loxy. You may have heard of her. She was playfully patient with me as I relearned a particular lesson. Practicing medicine is not being right all the time, but a practice, daily intentional balance between questions and prescriptions. Where goes one, so go we all.
As always, you will find a lot of metaphors with me today. Using the language of Love Covered Life’s guest, Margot McKinnon, I am soul dominant. I spent most of my life just learning to be grounded most of the time. Perhaps if I had met her sooner, I would have learned sooner. Or maybe, if I trusted my spirit more then perhaps I would have realized I was learning the whole time and I had exactly every lesson needed to learn and relearn.
