Bigelow got his money’s worth with the Mishlove Essay on the afterlife. I would be curious to how many skeptics might change their minds about the possibility of an afterlife after reading it. Would they bother to read it? I suppose if your mind is made up you wouldn’t bother. I am bias going into it, and so it doesn’t change my mind as much as reinforce. The essay can be found linked below. I recommend reading it, because even my summary of it will hardly do it justice. The essay itself is a summary to a serious study that spans hundreds of scholarly writings and thousands of years of human contemplation, with links to videos and references.

The essay covers topics of reincarnation, near death experiences, after death communications, possession, Peak in Darien experiences, Xenoglossy, and mediumship. It challenges the assertion that the brain creates consciousness, a theory that has been accepted as established fact but hasn’t been proven to any degree. This is not a shallow read. It’s a 96 page essay that is chock full of data. It is evidence of scholarly work, which shouldn’t surprise you when consider Doctor Jeffrey Mishlove holds the only recognized PhD in Parapsychology!

We are not these bodies.
