Native Americans, Aliens, and the Next World

I am as about as white as white comes. There is no evidence of Native American blood in my body, though my maternal great grandmother insisted she had such. If one believes in reincarnation, I suppose we’re not limited to one race, or even one species. I can’t think of a time I have not been impressed with Native American wisdom. I am often surprised others don’t share a fascination and love for their philosophies, their histories. I bring you two, very interesting artifacts that provoke fear and hope. Shall we convene in a circle of peace?

Native American stories were wisdom stories I sought prior to hearing Yoda speak in the Empire Strikes Back. I gravitate towards this wisdom, whether it’s from the Persian poets, or the shamans, or the myth makers of our day, Dances With Wolves, Little Big Man, or Avatar.

A person had two wolves, one bad one good. Which one survives? The one you feed. That is one story I share frequently. I also share this one, which I believe is a Buddhist tradition. Two monks were walking home after a rain. The river was emboldened to a degree that an elderly woman couldn’t cross.
