Not a Chinese Spy Balloon?

As crazy as conspiracy theories get, do they really want us to buy it was a Chinese SPY balloon?

Let’s say you’re an agent that wants to spy on an adversary. Imagine further, you didn’t already have agents in the field, have bought thousands of acres of real-estate in that land, or have access to tech that would allow you to do more spying than a balloon might allow. So, in your infinite wisdom of stealth and sly, you decide to employ a balloon with a camera. Do you really suppose a sophisticated agent would use materials that would lead right back to the country of origin? If this balloon was American made, it’s parts would still be labeled, MADE IN CHINA.

The balloon in question was likely made in China. It was likely employed for doing land surveys for resource acquisition, because it’s well know global warming is making some areas around the arctic more accessible; there will be oil and other resources suddenly available where they weren’t easily available before.

It could be an AMERICAN balloon so Americans can spy on Americans, made with Chinese part so that if they got caught… Now that’s something a Spy would do. Plausible cover story… Ummm. No, a country would never turn on its own citizens.
