Other People’s Near Death Experiences

Can we learn vicariously from NDEs?

Regardless of what society, scientists, or any of us think about Near Death Experiences, one thing that there is consensus on- these profound experiences change the people who have them. Many end up in divorce, as the spouse laments ‘this is not the person I married.’ They often change religions. They all report no longer fearing death. They often have paradigm changing philosophies and feel compelled to share. Do people have to die to be so transformed, or can we learn from listening and reading? Are there other experiences we can cultivate so we, too, can hold the knowing and certainty that NDE folks have?

Is it just a passing fancy to listen to NDEs? As society goes along, we hear of them happening more often. Is it as some might suggest, it’s just a fad? Or is it because our medical technology is recovering people that in the past would be considered unrecoverable.

Some NDEs defy all explanations. This Near Death Story Can Change The Way You See The World And DEATH (Incredible NDE), linked below, didn’t have the regular line up of deities. It had very few of the artifact commonly associated with NDEs, though not everyone gets the same thing. Culture and personal expectations do seem to influence experiences.
