Religious Texts Evidence for Aliens

The idea that spiritual texts from around the world could be reinterpreted isn’t new, but the new push is more academic.

Chariots of the Gods, 1968 book by Erich von Däniken, followed by a film in 1970, receiving an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature at the 43rd Academy Awards in 1971. If you’re old enough to remember that, do you remember that, or do you just remember the controversy? Were you aware the Vatican recently sent him a letter of applause?Even Galileo didn’t get a repireved for like two hundred years!

These trippy aliens keep coming at us from all the corners of the world, leaking in from every aspect of culture. Culture has to be defined, which was address in a NASA publication called Archaeology, Anthropology, and Interstellar Communications. We banter the word culture around a lot in this day and age, but does anyone truly know what it is?

If we really spent the time studying words, why is NASA in a 2014 paper including archaeology and anthropology in essentially a theoretical approach to aliens? Did they quote from Carl Sagan’s ancient alien theories that he published in 1964? No. Did they quote from Erich von Däniken’s book? No. Are they pulling information from Jimmy Church and his guest Paul Anthony Wallis? No. Did they quote Jesuit Father Jose Funes, director of the Vatican Observatory, when in 2008 he said ‘Christians should consider alien life as an “extraterrestrial brother” and a part of God’s creation.’ No.

They talked about music and math and quoted a paper written by an academic in the year 2000, but they didn’t recall Steven Spielberg’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind had already given us that meme?! Everything in that movie is still valid today! Spielberg could have made that movie today, and it would be as if he was speaking truth that might unravel society.

Evidence for a culture war is obvious. It doesn’t have to be a negative thing. After all, isn’t conflict one force that drives evolution? The constant give and take and push and shove, this is how we toughen up the psyche to prepare people for the next realization. We are not alone.
