You don’t need me doing a recap. You will find the link below to Richard Dolan’s interview of Darcy Weir. There are some great photos shared. There is better commentary than a Kirkpatrick speech to the Senate. And there’s a scathing review of NASA and its lack of integrity, as clearly I and Secure Team Ten aren’t the only ones that get upset that they turn off the cameras every time something cool happens.
Seriously, changing the feed on their cameras is annoying. They will explain it away, as there are ‘shadows’ where there is no communication with ISS, but that’s just not accurate. One, there are satellites, but two- the cameras record 24–7, so where is the missing feed when the ISS comes out of the shadow?
Even better, it was super nice hearing Weir point this out, space cameras suck ass. Seriously, we can watch sports games from anywhere in the world, we have youtube video and chat calls, and everything seems perfectly fine, even after bouncing around satellites and through cables under the ocean, and so why is it NASA seems to be working with the most inferior tech on the planet?
