Singularity, Convergence of- Or Recognition of- Multiplicity
The concept of Singularity, in regard to a technological event, as opposed to an astronomical event like a black hole, defines the moment when technological growth expands exponentially, autonomously without human input, and radically transforms reality. Depending on the source, we’re either fast approaching this event or we are there. What if the origin of this Universe is by definition the Singularity event? National Geographic articles in 2014 asked if we’re living in a black hole, but could that be the metaphor for singularity?
Singularity seems to provoke different memes for different people. Above thumbnail goes with an article exploring if death will be overcome when humans can download into a machine. If the Universe as we know it, born in a singularity event, is where we are now, then we are already in the mind of God, or within a sentient entity! The birth of a singularity results in the birth of universes!
Downloading into a machine may be a level of unnecessary redundancy. We are already immortal, and letting go of the body, a temporary vehicle, allows us to return to source.
If the Matrix, the movie, is a metaphor for what’s coming, that above meme wasn’t explored deep enough…
