Ever play that game where you read your fortune cookie out loud but conclude with ‘in bed?” Let’s play again, but ‘from Mars.’ WF is one of my favorite podcasts. I had delayed seeing The Moon’s Dark Secret: Aliens Harvesting Human Souls for FOOD, well, I am a scared-y-cat, from Mars. (Fear the scared-y-crab cat from Mars.) I watched it yesterday. Like all the episodes, I found it quite enjoyable. And though I anticipated leaving afraid, very afraid, I found the conclusion quite hopeful. AJ, the host, and co-host Heckle-fish, can spin a yarn, then a joke, and everything seems okay… Until…
You realize that the show is about creatures that feed off the energy of human emotions, enhanced by the suffering of souls incarnated into the human flesh trap, and the irony of the episode’s sponsor is a game called “War Thunder.” Yeah, let’s all play games of death and destruction so we can keep some intravenous soul sparked vitamins flowing to our alien overlords from Mars…
Not that I don’t indulge. I haven’t found a game that doesn’t include some aggressiveness. I was really hopeful I could play Starfield without shooting someone to get ahead. I am hopeful as the game…
