Evolution of Society
What I am about to share with you is so overly optimistic, you may suspect I am delusional. I assure you, the arguments I will offer you for the next step in the evolutionary process of society are sound. Feel free to shake your head or argue with me. I am not saying the path will be easy. Transitions are often difficult. In the past, they came with bloodshed. We can do this without war, but we will necessarily have to change the way we think. We all hold sentiments that human life is precious. This is evidence by our sentiments against suicide; it’s considered a sin- life is that precious. You know life is out of whack when suicides increase and it esteem as a path of honor, as in Japan, a country with the highest suicide rates in the world. The measure of humans value should not be associated with person’s ability to produce. That measure will be the first challenged as we move into the new world.
Don’t worry, the change will not result in the end of human drama. We humans, we have a range of emotional and intellectual capabilities that influence are abilities to play nice with each others. That’s okay. I am not saying we will all be nicer or kinder, but most of us really are already pretty kind to others.
