The IDIC Philosophy

There can be no measure of an infinite universe in which any one perspective can capture the essence of the whole.

Perhaps the backdrop philosophies of shows like Star Trek, the nuanced flavor of Vulcan in which the philosophy gave insight to the culture, is just pure fiction. Perhaps people who look at Star Wars and say the Force is male or female fail to grasp the fact that there is greater philosophy than anyone human can obtain. In an infinite universe, you would need something bigger than an individual. You would need all of humanity, all 8 plus billion of us, or a greater number by far, to even begin to tease out the invisible elephant we’re grappling with.

The religious belief of my family of origin nearly ruined spirituality for me. I got so tired of the fighting between the Church of Christ and Baptists, each side saying the other is going to hell for their beliefs, quite frankly discouraged me. How could a loving God excommunicate any child for having a different perspective. Even I could see that the Jesus of the bible hung out with sinners and tax collectors, cause everyone knew tax collectors were just simply Satan spawned, and so, a child would necessarily be loved by their father?
