Radio signals go both ways…

The Lil’ Alien Signal That Could

The debate has begun. The data will decide. This is so big, every telescope should be reviewing the Candidates. But everyone is missing the point: if we can hear them, they can hear us!

So, it’s getting real. The fight. I don’t know whether to be disappointed in Sabine, or compassionate as all humans have bias. Even scientists have been known to walk out on a lecture because someone said something they didn’t like. The thing with this is that the data set collected by SETI at home should be public domain. Every scientist, from academia to arm chair, should be able to tease out a signal. More on point, every functioning telescope should be pointed directly at a Candidate. That’s called science. This is too big to ignore, so why are scientists diminishing the find?

I really do like Sabine. Did? I minimized her channel a couple of months ago. I can’t even tell you why. I would still prefer her to Neil deGrasse Tyson.

If it’s true that science is science and it doesn’t care about feelings, why are so many scientist such snowflakes? No one needs to get mad and walk out on a lecture. No one has to amplify a part of the story to minimize the whole…
