How do you tell a story of family? How do you capture the love, the grief, the things that went right or wrong with dignity that reflect the complication of a person’s life, much less the simple fact they’re human? I have some good memories of my father, but I don’t hold a steady stream sense of him. The only thing that kept him from being a random ghost is that he changed over time.
