The Quantum World isn’t Just a Rabbit Hole of Crazy, It’s the Rabbit, the Hole, and Everything
Unlike the Rolling Stones suggested, time may not be on your side. It may not be against you, or over you, or under you, it may not exist at all. Einstein stated time is a stubbornly persistent illusion. We know it’s not a universal constant. We know from the Delayed Choice Quantum Eraser experiments, that time may be irrelevant to determining outcomes. The future could influence the past. Is there a connection between this and neuroscientist who also state that consciousness is stubbornly persistent illusion?
If you would like a more in depth coverage that’s pretty easy to understand, and moderately humorous, I will link a Joe Scott video at the end. It’s worth the watch. I assume if you’re reading this, you’re familiar with the double slit experiment, where light passing through slits will either create an interference pattern- suggesting light is indeed a wave, or non interference pattern suggesting light is a photon. In one instance it behaves like a wave, and the other it acts like a particle.
It acts like a particle if you measure it. So, before you worry that I am going to jump straight to woo woo kind of stuff, which I am prone to do, I am not saying human consciousness is required to make…
